Pricing Guide

At RockinDachs, price reflects one thing: how much foundation we have completed before your companion comes home. It is not a grade on the dog. It does not change with coat type or color. And it never climbs on a prospect who is still waiting for the right family.

We build the foundation. You build the life. Here is exactly what that costs.

The Fire Tiers

Every prospect begins as a Spark and grows along one developmental ladder. You choose your level when you enroll, before you are matched to a specific companion — you are choosing how much of the early work we do, not choosing a puppy.

Spark — $2,000

The Nursery Graduate.

This is our standard placement and where most companions go home. Your prospect arrives fully weaned, handled every day of their life, desensitized to household sights and sounds, comfortable having their paws, ears, and mouth touched, and started on a pellet litter box. First round of core vaccinations complete, Fi Nano microchip placed, AKC registration paperwork in hand.

Best for families who want to be hands-on from day one and build the bond themselves.

Flame — $2,600

The Structured Junior.

Your prospect stays with us on the homestead a while longer before Homecoming Day. On top of everything in Spark, they arrive with their full puppy vaccine series excluding rabies, name recognition, sit, leash acceptance, a set potty schedule, car ride conditioning, an hour of quiet crate time, comfort in public spaces, the beginnings of recall, and household boundaries around doorways and food bowls.

Best for families who want the first big hurdles already behind them.

Lantern — $3,200

The Well-Founded Prospect.

The deepest foundation we place. Everything from Flame, plus full vaccinations including rabies, four-hour crate stretches, the Place command, solid recall, loose-leash walking, polite greetings, and real confidence out in public.

A Lantern is not a finished dog — no dachshund truly is — but they arrive well-founded and ready to keep growing with your family.

A note on availability

Flame and Lantern depend on our training capacity. We keep no more than one or two prospects in active advancement at a time, so these are limited and confirmed with you case by case. Spark is always available.

One Deposit. That Is the Whole Policy.

A $350 Reservation Fee holds your match and applies in full toward your final balance. It is non-refundable, and it works the same way for every family whether you came to us through our enrollment list or through a marketplace listing.

There is no application fee. There is no enrollment fee. You will only ever pay the price of one tier — the one your companion comes home at — and your Reservation Fee counts toward that total. Nothing is ever stacked on top.

What Every Placement Includes

Before any tier, every RockinDachs companion carries the same standard. This is not an upgrade list and it is not optional.

Both parents are health tested through Embark DNA panels and OFA screening, and we pair for sound structure and stable temperament above all else. Every prospect receives early neurological and sensory stimulation from days three through sixteen, daily human handling, and socialization with our stable adult dogs on a working outdoor homestead.

Every prospect goes home with age-appropriate vaccinations, regular deworming, a Fi Nano microchip with lifetime registration, and a veterinary health examination. Every litter is registered with the American Kennel Club, and every companion placement includes AKC Limited Registration paperwork at no added cost.

And every family receives our Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee, lifelong access to the Legacy Lounge, and our standing promise that if you ever cannot keep your dog — for any reason, at any age — we take them back. A RockinDachs dog should never end up in a shelter.

What We Do Not Promise

We would rather be straight with you than sell you something we cannot deliver.

A reliable Leave It, dependable impulse control, and a real off-switch are not skills any honest breeder can hand you finished. Dachshunds were bred to work independently underground, making their own decisions far from their handler, and that independence arrives around six months in almost every one of them. Those skills get built over months in your home, through your consistency.

You will find breeders who promise otherwise. We are not one of them.

Retired and Returned Companions

These dogs are listed on our Available Teens-Adults page.

Our retiring breeding dogs — our Embers — are placed at $800 into quiet couch careers. The new family assumes responsibility for spay or neuter within sixty days, and a strict non-breeding agreement applies.

Returned companions are placed between $750 and $1,750, which covers the rehabilitation, dental work, vaccinations, and retraining needed to set a second placement up to succeed.

Every adult and returning companion comes with a written Companion Profile that includes an honest account of what they need in order to settle well — including anything difficult. We do not soften that to close a placement.

Breeding Placements

Breeding rights are never available as an upgrade on a companion, at any price, at any point. If you have been squeezed for a breeding-rights surcharge by another program, that will not happen here.

Breeding placements happen only through our Mentorship Program. They are arranged in advance, before a litter reaches its seven-week evaluation, and priced at $3,000 all inclusive — the prospect, Full AKC Registration, parent health testing records, and twelve months of mentorship access.

A breeding prospect at eight weeks is exactly that: a prospect. No one can confirm breeding quality in a puppy, and we will not pretend to.

Complete the Legacy Home Application and we will take it from there. There is no cost to apply.
