What Your Investment Includes — and Why
Every RockinDachs prospect is placed at our Spark tier — $2,000. That number includes what many programs charge extra for or skip entirely: full genetic panel results on both parents, first core vaccinations, FiNano microchip, early crate and litterbox foundations, structured handling and sensory work from birth, feline exposure, and our Lifetime Genetic Health Guarantee. Before you compare prices, compare what arrives with the dog.
We don’t price by coat, color, or gender. We don’t charge more for a prospect because time has passed. And we never suggest a family choose by appearance — our 4-Point Evaluation and No-Pick Policy exist because personality mismatch, not price, is the leading cause of failed placements.
Growing the Fire: Flicker, Flame, and Lantern
Some families want their matched prospect to stay with us a little longer. Our enrollment tiers continue your prospect’s development right here on the Homestead before Homecoming Day, from second vaccinations and leash acceptance all the way to public confidence and advanced impulse control.
Each tier price below is the total placement price for your prospect — not an amount added on top of the Spark tier. You’ll only ever pay the price of one tier — the one your prospect comes home at. Your Enrollment and/or Reservation Fees count towards that total.
• Flicker — $2,400 total — The Started Prospect. All Spark foundations plus second vaccinations, name recognition, Sit, leash acceptance, potty schedule, car ride conditioning.
• Flame — $2,800 total — The Structured Junior. Everything above plus full puppy vaccines (excluding Rabies), Place command, recall foundation, extended crate time, doorway and food bowl boundaries.
• Lantern — $3,200 total — The Well-Founded Prospect. Everything above plus full vaccines including Rabies, emotional regulation, solid recall, loose-leash walking, polite greetings, public confidence.
These tiers are chosen by you, for your dog, after matching. Because every enrolled prospect receives dedicated hands-on work, we hold no more than two in active advancement at a time — enrollment is offered as slots allow.
One thing we’ll always be honest about: no young Dachshund is ever a finished dog. This breed thinks for itself — it’s half the charm. Even a Lantern comes home with the deepest foundation we place and a family’s worth of training still ahead. We build the foundation. You build the life.
Fees
• Enrollment Fee — $200. Applies to waitlist families only, accompanying your Legacy Home Application. If you’re inquiring about a currently available prospect, this fee does not apply.
• Reservation Fee — $350. Secures your matched prospect. This fee applies to every placement.
Both fees are non-refundable, and every dollar counts toward your final balance at Homecoming Day.
